The Sahyadri Foundation team participated in The House of Zenith 2.3, a three-day Youth Parliament held on 7th, 8th, and 9th November at the YCCE Auditorium, Nagpur.

Organized by The Zenith Order, this event offered a real-time simulation of the Indian Political System, providing youth with hands-on experience of how our five-year national political framework truly operates.

From Elections, Political Campaigns, Rallies, Standing Committees, Vidhan Sabha, Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, to International Committees like the UNGA and IMF — participants explored every facet of democratic governance and policymaking.

🌼 Strengthening Community-Based Mental Health Support

As part of Adolescent Mental Health Project, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) were conducted with ASHA workers to understand their experiences, challenges, and perspectives while supporting adolescents’ mental health in their communities.

🎯 Objective:

To gather insights from ASHA workers about their journey—from receiving training on adolescent mental health, identifying students in distress, making referrals, and providing ongoing support—to better understand the impact and areas of improvement in the field.

🌿 Impact:

The discussions revealed how ASHA workers have become crucial links between schools, families, and mental health services. Their active role in identifying issues early and guiding students toward help has strengthened community-level mental health support and encouraged open conversations around emotional wellbeing.
