We celebrated Raksha Bandhan in our ZP Score High computer classroom with a special theme – Eco-Friendly Raksha Bandhan. 🌿💻

Our students showcased creativity and sustainability by crafting beautiful handmade rakhis. They tied rakhis to each other, strengthening bonds of friendship and care, and even tied one to a tree, symbolizing our promise to protect and nurture nature. 🌳

Along with the festivities, students also learned about the history and significance of the Raksha Bandhan festival. The highlight of the day was the stunning handmade rakhis – each one a unique work of art, crafted with love by our talented students! 🎀✨

Disaster Relief Support by Sahyadri Foundation in Nagpur – 2025

In response to the heavy rains and floods on 7th, 8th, and 9th July 2025 across parts of Nagpur district, Sahyadri Foundation conducted a flood relief distribution drive, supporting over 1,000 flood-affected families with essential shelter kits.

The initiative covered the most affected areas including Besa Beltarodi, Narsala, Pipla Fata, Kalamna, Hudkeshwar, Ghogali, and other parts of Nagpur city.

This humanitarian effort was made possible through collective community support and collaboration with local authorities.

Sahyadri Foundation remains committed to standing by vulnerable communities in times of crisis.

✅ Proud Moment: Contributing to National Policy for Social Inclusion

Sahyadri Foundation had the privilege of participating in the National Stakeholders Consultation on SMILE Sub-Scheme organized by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, at Indore on 11th July 2025.

As a National Resource Person, we participated in the panel discussion on *“Comprehensive Rehabilitation of Persons Engaged in Begging”* and shared NMC & Sahyadri Foundation’s innovative recommendations to strengthen policies for dignified rehabilitation and social inclusion.

Sahyadri Foundation has been actively working to rehabilitate persons engaged in begging and empower marginalized communities.

This consultation brought together ministry officials, state representatives from across country, and national stakeholders to enhance the SMILE scheme, focusing on skill development, livelihood opportunities, and inclusive growth.

It’s a proud moment for Sahyadri Foundation to contribute towards policy development at the national level for a more inclusive India.

🧠 Adolescent Mental Health Awareness & Screening Drive

Creating Safe, Supportive Spaces for Young Minds 🌱

Sahyadri Foundation, in collaboration with Reach52 and Shahari Va Gramin Vikas Bahuddeshiya Sanstha, successfully conducted Mental Health Awareness and School-Based Screening Sessions at CP & BERAR High School and Shri Rajendra High School, Mahal, Nagpur.

This impactful initiative reached over 3000+ students, focusing on early detection of emotional distress, building resilience, and promoting the importance of mental well-being among adolescents.

Led by dedicated trainers including Ms. Pratiksha Kumbhare, Pranita Kalambe, Anita Dhudkewar, and Namrata Waghmare, and supported by school authorities like Principal Smita Nahatkar Ma’am, the sessions fostered open conversations and emotional awareness among students.

Leaders like Mr. Abhishek Dudhalkar and Mr. Vijay Kshirsagar emphasized the importance of integrating mental health into school programs to break stigma and ensure timely support.

Aastha Beggar Rehabilitation Shelter – A Ray of Hope

In the recent special street rescue operation by NMC, Aastha Beggar Rehabilitation Shelter played a vital role in rehabilitating homeless individuals. Ten rescued male beggars were shifted to the shelter at Ghat Road, where they will receive care, dignity, and support to rebuild their lives.

Such efforts, in collaboration with the NMC’s Social Development Department, Sitabuldi Police Station, and the District Child Protection Unit, are crucial in addressing homelessness and supporting vulnerable populations with compassion and responsibility.
