On the 22nd of April 2023, SSISM celebrated "Earth Day" by spreading the message to protect the earth.
The theme of earth day for this year was "Invest in our Planet",
Students prepared various posters like ‘Save a Tree’, ‘Save Water, etc.
A Rally was organized to create awareness to protect the earth.

In these charming rural havens of Kolar District, Karnataka, witnessing children going to school brings a profound sense of fulfillment and joy. It is a reminder that the journey to a brighter future is not bound by circumstance but fueled by determination and passion. Indeed, the joys of seeing children go to school are an enchanting tale of hope, resilience, and the boundless magic of knowledge. At Vidhyadaanam, we strive to instill and revive this love for learning through empowerment working with over 20 government schools.
Based on the current situation, our plans and requirements for this year are:
-- Support for a rotating Guest-English-teacher to cover 3 schools, for 6 months.
-- School bags with regular stationery kit in Eco-friendly, cotton-zipper stationery pouch. Thanks to the other local donors, all the required notebooks were donated to the schools at the start of the academic year.
-- Support for special occasions like Independence Day, Children's Day and Republic Day celebrations.
How you can help:
1) Volunteer to help with the distribution and conduct fun activities for the kids.
2) Donate any of the items helpful to our needs (as above), for this year.
3) You may also give away your old charts, maps, chemistry/biology/physics kits, unused notebooks/stationery (in usable condition).
4) Mentoring/Motivational speech

Sant Singaji Educational Society was established with the mission to provide quality education to rural youth in the area of Sandalpur village and its surroundings of 50 kms which covers three districts viz., Dewas, Harda and Sehore in Madhya Pradesh. With the mission going forward, a two-fold strategy has been adopted as the first one is in-house teaching and the second one is giving exposure to the outside world, allowing students to have better understanding about theoretical and practical aspects of opportunities and challenges in the world.
Going forward, Sant Singaji Educational Society, organised Sringeri Jagriti Yatra, a trip to ‘Sringeri Sharda Peetham’ in Karnataka for 42 students and 11 faculty members starting from 3st Dec 2022 to 10th Jan 2023. Students had the chance to learn from eminent personalities from IIT and IIM like Mr. DVR Seshadri (ISB, Hyderabad), Mr. Mahendra Jain (Former IAS), Miss. Mayuri Joshi, to name a few of them.
Students also had the privilege of participating in different activities like Mime show, Tracking, bio-diversity session, nature walk, 2 kms marathon race and visit to some of the beautiful places like Tung river, Malp beach, Sharda Amba temple etc.
Students were really happy and delighted after the visit.

Vidhyadaanam works with rural Government School children in Kolar, Karnataka, and seeks to impart spoken English skills to students from Standards 6-8.
We are looking for a volunteer with great spoken English skills who can help us design the syllabus to cover basic spoken English for these children in 4 weeks. We plan to start preparing the syllabus from Jan 30 and have it ready by Feb 13, 2023. The intent to to launch the training program by Feb 14 and complete the program by mid-March 2023.
The aim is to deliver the program remotely through online mechanisms with feedback from the students through video recordings via social media platforms.

Mitra Jyothi, has a noble mission, "To Inspire and Enable the Visually Impaired".
AppZoy volunteers were glad to spend time with Mitra Jyothi family, a very different activity for us compared to the "daily routine" reviews, user stories, standups, and bugs..
It was emotional and inspiring to understand the phenomenal impact Mitra Jyothi is making in the lives of the visually impaired.
