Our Campaigns: Looking back at our journey!

One Crore steps: Started in July 2018, in this campaign we organized a walkathon from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in order to raise road safety awareness. Through this campaign more than 135 crore steps were taken towards safer roads.

One Crore Haath: Launched in 2019, this was a nationwide initiative where human chains were formed at more than 100 locations to raise awareness about following road safety rules.

IARC2020: The India against road crash campaign was launched in 2020 to promote road safety and responsible behaviour. This was done by conducting seminars and drives.

*Doori Hai Zaroor*i: Launched in 2020, this campaign highlighted the importance of safe distances while driving and encouraging safer defensive driving and safer roads.

IARC2021: This was India’s first On-Air Road Safety Rally that used AI to track progress, engaging drivers from Amritsar to Kanyakumari in promoting safety,

Pahal: Pahal was a digital campaign launched by Club D2S in 2021 aimed at encouraging safe driving practices and increasing awareness to ensure safer roads in india.

We are proud of our journey thus far and are constantly working on our mission towards Reducing road accidents in India through consulting, collaboration, and awareness.

Pune’s first ever mega road safety walkathon

On February 14, 2024, Drive Smart, Drive Safe (D2S) led Pune's inaugural Mega Road Safety Walkathon, marking a significant milestone in our mission to promote road safety. Over 1,350 participants, including students and professionals, joined this 1 km walk from SSPMS Ground through Mangalwar Peth station and back, collectively contributing 1.5 million safety steps.

This event was part of our "India Against Road Crash, Season 2024" campaign, which aims to raise awareness, encourage responsible driving, and reduce road accidents. A key highlight was the induction of over 1,350 volunteers as Road Safety Warriors, who are committed to establishing Drive Safe Clubs in schools, colleges, and corporate campuses across Pune.

The walkathon concluded with a Mass Pledge of the 8-Point Road Safety Code of Conduct, emphasizing the collective responsibility for road safety. Supported by various organizations, including ACMA, ASDC, ARAI, AISSMS, ASC, AITWA, BOCI, FICCI_FLO, CIRT, Pune City Traffic, Pune Metro, NDRF, Ranjangaon Industries Association, SAE India & ASC, and partnered by Tata Motors, Tata Autocomp, Tata Green Batteries, and Continental India, the event exemplified a unified effort towards enhancing road safety awareness in Pune.

At D2S, we believe that road safety is a collective responsibility, and this walkathon was a testament to the power of community engagement in creating safer roads.

Reflection and highlights: Safe India Smart India

Safe India smart India is a road safety awareness and impact initiative that was initiated by ParaSafe and co-initiated by Club D2S dedicated to fostering a culture of safety and responsibility among road users through impactful communication, active engagement and collaboration.

With a deep commitment to road safety, this campaign inspires positive change, generates awareness, and leads efforts to create a safer and smarter future for all.

Children are among the most vulnerable road users, and the ParaSafe Road Safety Study highlighted alarming gaps in safety practices. While 54% of children travel in the front seat with only a seat belt or an adult, just 10% use proper child safety seats. On two-wheelers, although helmet usage is relatively high, only 7% of children use both a helmet and a safety belt harness. Awareness is low as only 19% know about child harnesses for two-wheelers and just 34% are aware of child safety seats for cars. ParaSafe’s Safe India, Smart India initiative, featuring Chhota Bheem has certainly brought a change to this by spreading awareness and making safety engaging for children.

At Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025, thousands came together to make a difference by committing to responsible driving.

By the end of the month 3,000+ road safety pledges were taken.
