*Our early steps: About our early education initiative*
All children are entitled to an education. It is a birthright not a privilege. The only way to remove social and economic barriers and create a sustainable, healthy society is via education. But it's also something that frequently appears to be beyond the reach of some sections of society.
With this in mind Kishalay Foundation started off its journey with early education to cater to the underprivileged children of Sundarban.
These kids, who are primarily from farming households, have been given the chance to attend Kishalay Foundation early education centers. They get access to early learning activities and get a comprehensive education from qualified local teachers. Sports, storytelling, and other activities are also a part of this learning process. Additionally, these kids receive wholesome meals that are produced on our own farms using organic practices.
With our foundation being in the sunderbans today our operations are in three other districts in West Bengal namely North 24 Parganas, Murshidabad and Purulia with a 100 plus strong team spread across 30 locations. Additionally we have recently started our Learning hub at Jharkhand as well.
