The Book Thing's mission is to put unwanted books into the hands of those who want them, for free. Inspired by Baltimore teachers who struggled to acquire the books they needed for their classrooms, we open our doors to the public to provide unlimited access to our selection of donated books. We strive to keep our overhead low and to reuse, recycle, or upcycle everything we can. All funds go directly toward our operating costs and are the reason we can do the work that we do.
