In just one academic year, our intervention brought remarkable improvements

🔹 Numeracy nearly doubled – from 37.78% ➡️ 73.53%

🔹 Literacy more than tripled – from 13.93% ➡️ 54.81%

💫 That’s a growth of 294% in Literacy and 95% in Numeracy in just one year!

Behind these numbers is a powerful story of dedicated teachers, tireless volunteers, committed trainers, generous donors and of course the wonderful Shraddha Team - each playing a beautiful part in this collective impact. ❤️

77% of female college graduates in low-income areas with dreams of becoming financially independent and earning respect spend all their time on unpaid domestic work.

Today, minimal economic means results in unused college degrees and unfulfilled ambitions.

A child without education is a child stuck in the vicious cycle of generational poverty.

Studies show that an investment in foundational learning in India can lead to gains in GDP by as much as 7.39 percent.

Women from lower socio-economic backgrounds swim against the tide - juggling household work with education, resisting cultural norms, and working twice as hard as most men to obtain a college degree. Yet, the majority of these women are relegated to performing unpaid household work or domestic work in others' homes. Meanwhile, children from the same background struggle to attend and benefit from school, and continue to fall behind academically and intellectually. We, at Shraddha Maanu Foundation, aim to provide every underprivileged child joyful learning from dependable teachers; and every underprivileged educated woman the agency and empowerment to gain pride from her work.

Our dual pronged mission tackle two critical gaps in India’s educational landscape

To restore dignity, purpose and provide sustainable livelihood to graduate housewives - often overlooked - by training them to become able educators. .

To bring joyful, foundational learning to children who are often left behind.

Upasana - Empowering Women to Empower Children

Upasana is a transformative teacher training program based on Multiple Intelligence methodology. It enables educated but underemployed graduate housewives from underserved communities to become confident, capable part time teachers.

Vipasana - Bridging Learning Gaps for Underprivileged Children

Vipasana is our FLN initiative, where trained Upasana educators help children from low-income families strengthen their foundational literacy and numeracy skills—ensuring they don’t fall behind in school or in life.

Today, we’ve reached 5000+ children by training 560 teachers , employed in 88 learning centers across 28 districts of Tamil Nadu.

By 2028, our vision is to uplift 500 women and support 5,000 children through a growing network of FLN centres —scaling local impact through community development across Tamil Nadu.
