✅ Proud Moment: Contributing to National Policy for Social Inclusion

Sahyadri Foundation had the privilege of participating in the National Stakeholders Consultation on SMILE Sub-Scheme organized by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, at Indore on 11th July 2025.

As a National Resource Person, we participated in the panel discussion on *“Comprehensive Rehabilitation of Persons Engaged in Begging”* and shared NMC & Sahyadri Foundation’s innovative recommendations to strengthen policies for dignified rehabilitation and social inclusion.

Sahyadri Foundation has been actively working to rehabilitate persons engaged in begging and empower marginalized communities.

This consultation brought together ministry officials, state representatives from across country, and national stakeholders to enhance the SMILE scheme, focusing on skill development, livelihood opportunities, and inclusive growth.

It’s a proud moment for Sahyadri Foundation to contribute towards policy development at the national level for a more inclusive India.
