RUMC's Open Kitchen and Emergency Shelter programs have grown out of the belief that hunger and homelessness are social justice issues. Whether providing a warm cup of coffee and a meal, delivering a food box to a doorstep, or offering a place to rest a weary head, we believe that access to food and shelter is a human right, preserves dignity, and makes our community stronger. Our primary goals are to promote a sense of community, feed and shelter our community, and most of all, offer hope.
