Preservation of the Egyptian Theatre, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization who owns and operates the Egyptian Theatre. P.E.T. was formed in 1978. Located in Downtown DeKalb, IL, this 1,400 seat historic theatre was once one of more than 100 in the US, today it is 1 of only 7 remaining and the only one east of the Rocky Mountains.
Mission Statement: To share and protect the historical integrity of the theatre as a regional arts center for entertainment and community involvement.
