Nizhoni Institute of Midwifery is an accredited midwifery training program in San Diego. We are committed to IMPROVING BIRTH OUTCOMES by expanding access to midwifery education for students of color who need financial assistance to stay in school and complete their training. Through our Scholarship Program, we are able to train quality midwives who will serve their own communities, thereby DRAMATICALLY improving the abysmal maternal and infant mortality rates for the black and indigenous people of color.
