The purpose of Masjid Al Islahi being established is for the entire ummah of Rasulullah (SAW), but as we know in the U.S., we have many reverts to Islam who come from backgrounds such as drugs, broken families, some don't know their fathers or mothers and some of their parents are deceased, and they don't know who they are as a person. We want to establish a safe place where African Americans, like myself, Latinos, Whites, etc. can have some input about the concerns of the masjid and community.
