Vidya & Child is a safe, welcoming, free and fun environment that enables value integrated holistic & academic development based on the uniqueness of each child and empowers each child for envisioning & creating a unique future. Vidya & Child has established a model of engagement to ensure that each child completes school education, is skill enabled through professional or vocational education. Vidya & Child is a 25+ year old organisation and has been built with years of trust and belief from its diverse set of employees, partners, vendors and the community that it works with. It is with this belief system that we are able to cater to more than 2000 children and 600+ children have completed their Class 12 and are pursuing their dreams across 21 different careers. Goal 1 - COMFORT & SETTLEMENT - Each child feels safe, welcomed, accepted irrespective of age, gender, and academic performance, social and economic challenges. Goal 2 - HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT - Each child grows to be more self-aware, sensitive and responsible, understands relationship with self, friends, family and community in a deeper way, to be enabled to make responsible choices. Goal 3 - ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT - Each Child learns in a positive environment, where questions are encouraged, where learning is connected to the child's real life situations. At Vidya & Child Schools, the work with the family and work with each child forms the platform for all engagements. Vidya & Child provides a respectful environment free from social, economic, religious and gender bias. • The work with the family involves building a relationship with each family. Builds connect with each family, its journey and alignment of family vision for each child in the family Vidya & Child is a safe, welcoming, free and fun environment • The work with the child involves building an understanding of the ‘world of each child’ - the child's background, interests, strengths, passions, dreams, individual concerns, relationships with self, family, friends and community. Actions are taken for and with the child after discussions across all aspects impacting on a child's emotional and physical well-being. A team of 140 employees comprising teachers, facilitators, and leaders for various processes, together ensure implementation of the engagement model. PLANNED ACTIVITIES – •Admission of students through an admissions process that focuses on building a long term relationship with the parent. •Providing a positive environment and a value-integrated curriculum that focuses on a child's emotional and physical well-being. •Opportunities for Holistic Development through Arts & Performing Arts, Value-based Life Skills, Exposure & Projects and Sports •Capacity Building - of teachers to make their teaching more engaging and effective. •Parent Interactions - Relationship building with Each Family through Meetings, Home Visits and Events •Admission of child into mainstream schools in Class 9 to complete school education until Class 12.
