Good Samaritans of Garland, "Good Sam", envisions a community in which everyone has access to sufficient nutritious food by compassionately providing food assistance for our hungry and food-insecure neighbors. Good Sam was formed in 1983 from an alliance of four Garland faith communities with the purpose of providing centrally-located services for the underserved community at no cost. Food assistance is provided for housed and unhoused (homeless) neighbors without judgement.
