This week, we’re highlighting Lauren’s House for Positive Change, a nonprofit creating opportunities for youth in East Palo Alto and East Menlo Park.

Started in 2009 by Monique Graves, Lauren’s House offers free after-school and summer programs that focus on reading development, tutoring, mentoring, cultural enrichment, and community service. With support from staff and volunteers, the organization also provides socioemotional learning led by a certified mental health professional, ensuring students are cared for both academically and emotionally.

What began with helping a few children with homework has now grown into a safe and supportive space where dozens of young people learn, grow, and connect every year.

We’re proud that Lauren’s House is part of the Neki community, continuing to inspire change and strengthen futures.
